Parish Priest of Sacred Heart of Jesus Tonj in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek Paul Antimi on Sunday advised Christians not to bargain their faith.

He points out that those who committed themselves are ready and free to be the followers of God.

The parish priest said following God is not free, but requires hard work.

‘Everybody must take personal responsibility. I am deciding to be a Christian today, so I will remain a Christian. Not that when things are tuff, I jump on the other side. So, most people think that following Christ is free. There’re various tribes of people who claim to follow Jesus’, Antimi said.

Fr Antimi revealed that some Christians bargain by rejecting their Christian names given to them.

The priest teaches the believers to stick to Christ and not to claim to be saved, but to bring others closer to God.
