Sudan opposition movements expected to meet next week in Juba, says Adviser

The Sudanese armed movements’ leaders are expected next Tuesday 20th in Juba to meet President Salva Kiir for Sudan Peace Dialogue, says the President Advisor for Security Affairs.
 
Tut Kew Gatluak told media on Wednesday that South Sudan government aims to bring stability and peace in the Sudan through the peace pact coordination between the Transitional Military Council, Sudan Revolutionary Front and Justice and Peace Movements.
 
The Head of Justice and Peace Movement, Dr Gibril Ibrahim Mohammed assures their acceptance to start up the dialogue with Sudan Revolutionary Front and the TMC.
 
Dr Ibrahim was chosen to replace his brother Khalil, on 26 January 2012, after Khalil’s death in a Sudan Air Force airstrike in Northern Kordofan in December 2011.
 
There have been consultations in the Addis Ababa, Ethiopian between the Sudan Revolutionary Front and the Forces of Freedom and Change to reach understandings on attaining peace in conflict areas.
 
The Military Council has been in power since the army leadership ousted Omar Al-Bashir on April 11 from the presidency (1989- 2019), under pressure from widespread protests that have started since late 2018, denouncing the deteriorating economic conditions.
 
The officials were addressing the media on Wednesday after their meeting with the president of the republic.
