The chairman of Local Town Court in Western Lakes State articulated presence of guns in hands of civilians gives youth powers to carry out criminal activities in the community.
In an exclusives interview to Good News Radio on Saturday, chief Dhalbeny Makuer Gol said there are so many cases in his court including stealing, cattle rustling and adultery.
Makuer believes the existing illegal arms in the hands of civilians led to instability in Western Lakes State.
Chief Dhalbeny blamed the government for allowing guns to hands.
The chief suggests that the national government should construct a big jail in the area to arrest the perpetrators.
Civilian’s disarmament should continue, he added.
The chairman of Local Town Court in Western Lakes State advised the young people in Rumbek and South Sudan at large to stop criminal acts and accept peace.
