A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Yei told Christians on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral that God is faithful to His promise.
Radio Easter quoted Fr Sebastian Pololo Enock explaining that the Israelites were celebrating victory over their enemy as they depart from Egypt.
He mentioned that the Egyptians were in agony but God led out from Egypt to their promised land and they celebrate the success of their activity annually.
The priest says Abraham and his wife Sarah obeyed God because of their deep-rooted faith made God to fulfil His promise of giving them a son when they were about 75 years old.
Sarah conceived when she was 90 years and Abraham was 100 years old, the priest adds.
He encourages Christians to be vigilant but faithful like Abraham and Sarah.
Fr Pololo urges the worshipers to have faith that has pillars and vision and grow the faith on the hope they have.
The priest was giving his homily on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
