Eid Al-Adha day of joy, love, and forgiveness, says Sheik in Yei

The Sheik of the Yei Mosque describes Eid Al-Adha as a festival of sacrifice and thanks giving day.
 
Sheik Rajah Sebit it is a day of joy, love, forgiveness and unity where Muslims offer sacrifices of animals, not humans, Radio Easter reports.
 
He explains that Muslims around the globe gathered to celebrate and remember the day when the Almighty God tested the faith of prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishaq.
 
The Sheikh explains that God sent a sheep to rescue Ishaq from been sacrificed.
 
Rajah mentions that it is important to celebrate Eid al adha to remember the day when God tested Ibrahim’s faith.
 
He encourages citizens of Yei not to divide themselves according to religions, but work together as brothers and sisters.
 
The sheik prays for peace to prevail in Yei River State and South Sudan at large, urging citizens to unite and stand firm for nation building.
 
The Muslim leader spoke to Radio Easter on Sunday during Eid Al-Adha celebration in Yei.
