Doctor urges mothers to breastfeed babies from birth

A medical doctor working for ACROSS says mothers should breastfeed their babies immediately after birth because the first milk known as colostrums is very good to the child’s health.
 
Speaking to Radio Easter in an exclusive interview Dr Joyce Dominic says the first milk acts as the first vaccine.
 
She says the milk contains anti bodies that prevent the baby from diseases.
 
Dr. Joyce discloses that there is a low capacity of medical personnel and urges parents to prevent their babies from contracting disease.
 
The medical doctor spoke to Radio Easter during the celebration of the World Breastfeeding Week in Yei on Thursday.
