The Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Monday concluded the 9th diocesan youth conference that began on December 13, under the theme: ‘Let love be sincere, hate what is evil and hold on to what is good’.
Rumbek Diocesan Coordinator, Fr John Mathiang urges the participants to be happy because Jesus will soon come, Good News Radio reports.
Fr Mathiang urges the young people who attended the congress to have sincere love for their brothers and sisters and avoid involvement in bad things.
One of the youth, who attended the conference, Mageri Malual Mageri, reveals that the assembly was very good and colorful since he met young people from different parishes.
The participant appeals to his brothers and sisters to foster love among themselves in their localities.
Out of 16 parishes of the diocese only 13 attended the youth assembly because of bad roads.
The Catholic Diocese of Rumbek established the initiative of the congress in 2008 to bring young people together to share their experiences with one another.
