SAFERWORLD on Monday brought together one hundred and sixty-six women from Gok, Eastern and Western Lakes States in Rumbek to dialogue about peace among themselves.
The forum is for women to discuss how they can avoid being negatively involved in communal fighting in the three states, says William Mapuor Marial, SAFERWORLD, Radio Good News reports.
He adds that the community accuses women of composing songs against other communities which accelerates violent conflicts in the states.
Marial urges women to refrain from violent communal conflicts and embark on peace for stability among communities in Lakes States.
Western Lakes State Acting Governor, Lois Agum Rueben, acknowledges that women are suffering.
She urges fellow women to find a peaceful way of how they can control their sons and husbands to stop conflict.
The conference that is colored with traditional dances from different communities of greater Lakes States is expected to last for three days.
