CEPO calls for good management of military uniforms

The Community Empowerment for Progress Organization, CEPO is urging the government to find a proper way of managing the military uniforms so that they may not be accessed by criminals.
 
Executive Director, Edmond Yakani says the way soldiers or police manage their uniforms requires a governance system.
 
He says the government should order every military person not to take their uniforms to be washed in public places.
 
Yakani calls on the army not to allow their uniforms to be used by criminals.
 
He calls on the law enforcement agents to hold accountable any soldier who gives out his or her uniform or boot to criminals.
 
Yakani urges the organize forces to walk away from committing crimes, abusing powers and uniform or public equipments for their personal gain.
 
President Salva Kiir Mayardit has last week accused some soldiers and police officers of looting civilians and other criminal activities.
