At least two people have been reported shot dead on Maridi-Mvolo road, confirms State Minister of Information.
Peter Saki told Radio Anisa that the two people were pastoralists who were taking their cattle to Maridi State and fell in the hands of unknown gunmen.
He mentioned that the state government has dispatched forces to search the suspects.
Saki says security situation is relatively calm after the incident, urging people to continue with their daily activities without panicking.
Maridi State is training about three hundred and eleven police, Saki discloses.
He adds that the purpose of training the police is to ensure the safety and security of citizens in the state.
After the graduation the police will be deployed to all seven counties of Maridi State to ensure proper service delivery.
