Rumbek UNMISS team cleans Kiir Mayardit Women Hospital

The United Nations in South Sudan or UNMISS on Monday commemorated International Peacekeepers Day in Rumbek by cleaning Kiir Mayardit Women Hospital.
 
The team also donated some cleaning materials including brooms, brushes and soaps to the Hospital, Radio Good News reports.
 
UNMISS Field Office Administrator in Rumbek, Imad Audeh, says the day reminds them of their fallen heroes and heroines including nine who lost their lives in Rumbek.
 
Kiir Mayardit Women Hospital Director, Ahmed Bangir, appreciates the move of UNMISS team to clean the sickbay and plant trees around it.
 
He describes the action as a good gesture to the people and the whole state.
 
Dr Anip Majur, State Minister of Health, highlights that the peacekeepers in the state are not only maintaining peace, but do some charitable works to the community.
 
She utters happiness about UNMISS peacekeepers’ donations to Kiir Mayardit Hospital.
 
She expresses government’s readiness to cooperate with the Mission.
 
40 UN peacekeepers and staff took part in the cleaning of Kiir Mayardit Women Hospital compound.
