The Mayor of Wau Municipality has prevented distribution of humanitarian aid to more than 12 thousand IDPs in Wau Episcopal Church until they are relocated to Masana Taaleeb.
Mel Aleu Goc, directs all humanitarian organizations not to distribute any food aid except medical service and water till they are relocated to the new area, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He says the government is responsible to protect the IDPs who will be transferred to the new location.
Police and security organs will be deployed to protect the IDPs.
The Mayor pledges to direct the army in Agok to patrol the area between Agok and Masana Taaleeb to ensure good security in the area.
Mayor Mel says a seven-members committee from Municipality, security organs has been formed for the relocation process.
He discloses that the IDPs will be given a piece of land for cultivation to fight hunger and avoid dependency on humanitarian aid.
The NGOs did not comment on the issue.
