South Sudanese should embark on education to combat illiteracy in the country, says Director for Acceleration Learning Program in the Ministry of Education in Wau State.
The statement came as South Sudan joined the world on Thursday in celebrating International Literacy Day under the theme: ‘Reading the past, writing the future’, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
Simon Paul Ndgo, says the Day aims at addressing gaps in education and allow those who missed learning chance to complete their education.
He explains that accelerated learning program gives an opportunity to all ages and helps learners to finish the basic level in only four years.
