The Minister of Higher Education and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba should apologize or they call for their removal, says general assembly.
The statement followed a threatening letter from the minister addressed to the Vice Chancellors of the public universities to take action against the lecturers.
Philip Finish Apollo says the Minister wrote a letter in which he instructed the university administrations to take measures against those who are not considering the econmic situation of the country.
The general assembly resolved to continue with the strike until their demands are fulfilled, he said.
Onesimo Yabang, one of the lecturers, urges the authorities to pay their money on time as teaching requires energy to stand for three hours per a class.

The academic staff of the five public universities met on Monday in response to the threatening letter of the Minister of Higher Education.
They argued that the Minister should use good words instead of intimidating them.
