The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei is asking government to support church founded and private schools in South Sudan.

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe says government’s failure to fund church based schools amidst flowing donations for education and health is ‘unfortunate’, Radio Easter reports.

The church is feeling injustice from the government, the bishop says.

Government has taken away its teachers from church schools, leaving the church struggling in paying private teachers, Bishop Lodu laments.

The bishop also appeals to parents to be mindful of children moral shaping.

Guide the children against sexual misconduct to retain them in school, Bishop Lodu advises.

The bishop was speaking during a graduation of kindergarten kids to primary education.
