The British Ambassador to South Sudan on Monday clarified that the international community does not threaten South Sudan as a nation with sanctions but targets individuals who obstruct the implementation of signed peace agreement.
Ambassador Tim Morris says the international community is mindful of appropriate measures which do not affect innocent South Sudanese, Radio Bakhita reported.
Ambassador Morris encourages South Sudanese to implement the peace deal to bear fruits of unity, freedom and prosperity.
The British Ambassador made the statement during Radio Bakhita’s ‘Wake-up Juba’ talk show program on Monday.
