Torit Catholic Diocesan Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption observes that peace has been replaced by revenge among communities as the order of the day because people want to kill, massacre and destroy.

Fr Noel Ugwagu examines that revenge breads wickedness, cruelty and under development, describing the practice as ‘is very infectious, like communicable disease such as Ebola and when one person touches it every other person gets it, Emmanuel Radio reported.

He adds that vengeance makes a particular tribe to go into extinction and destroys a community.

Fr Ugwagu predicts that there is no future for South Sudanese if they fail to reconcile, lamenting that without peace, no development can prevail in South Sudan.

He says there is no clean and safe water, good roads, houses and even food to eat despite enough land to produce, discovering that Eastern Equatoria is not able to cultivate in some good and fertile parts of the sate because of no peace.

Fr Ugwagu reiterates that people should do away with revenge for lasting peace and development.
