National Security Service in Yambio, Western Equatoria State is detaining three suspected thieves who stole government drugs among is the store keeper.
State Health Ministry Deputy Director for Primary Health Care Carmelo Umberto Sangu tells the press in Yambio that 15 cartons of drugs went missing from Nzara County Primary Health Care Centre, Radio Anisa reported.
He adds that the medicines stolen is a full Primary Health Care Centre ration with different essential drugs for children and adults expected to serve more than one thousand people in one or two months.
Deputy Director Umberto says the drugs stolen include Penicillin Injections, VCT Testing kids, sterilizing water bottles, slides and different tablets.
Nzara County Health storekeeper, County Health Coordinator and a nurse working at a private pharmacy in Yambio are the suspected thieves in detention.
The suspects are awaiting trial in court of law to justice.
