Central Equatoria State Gender and Social Development Ministry on Friday opened a Counseling Center at Juba Teaching Hospital for gender-based violence survivors.
Minister Mary Apayi appreciates United Nations Population Fund or UNFPA and International Rescue Committee for handing over the Centre; saying it would care for the vulnerable groups as rape became a tool of war in the country.
UNFPA Gender Based Violence Specialist Caroline Nyamayemombe describes the Center as very important for responding to victims.
The Specialist discloses that the Centre construction cost about 25 thousand US Dollars.
