Bangladesh Rehabilitation Assistance Committee or BRAC distributes vegetable seeds and tools including buckets, rakes, hoes, sickles and eight types of seeds such as tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, okra, eggplants and watermelons among others to support farmers in Yambio Payam.
Yambio and Bangasu Payams Agriculture Organizer Elisa Mukasi says they started distributions in Asanza One and Ikpiro centers on Tuesday, hoping to continue in Asanza Two and Duduma on Wednesday and next week in Bangasu Payam, Radio Anisa reported.
Ikpiro beneficiary Pastor Simon Philip expresses happiness for getting the seeds at the right time.
BRAC’s Emergency Livelihood Project targets 500 trained farmers in Yambio Payam and supplied them with seeds and tools for six months.
