United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in South Sudan expressed worries about the economic situation in the country in the absence of peace as petroleum income went down by seventy-five percent.
Toby Lanzer in a press conference on Tuesday in Juba described that fall in oil price as very grave with a possibility of becoming more serious in the absence of peace in South Sudan.
He said the fall in petroleum prices in the world market makes it difficult for South Sudan institutions to pay their bills and staff salaries.
Mr Lanzer said printing money usually leads to hyperinflation, warning that South Sudan would be in an ever graver situation if it occurs in the young nation.
