Sixty peace committees from four parishes in the Catholic Diocese of Wau are attending a three-day workshop on the national Transitional Constitution at PALICA Centre.
Justice and Peace Commission representative, Franco John Unago, said the workshop aims at training all its committees of ten parishes in Wau to help developed the vision and mission of the Commission to the entire Christian community of the diocese, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
He said the training would also help strengthen and encourage committees to carry their duties smoothly.
Mr John revealed that the participants would be empowered on the role and new mandate of UNMISS, criminal Code procedures and social teachings of the Catholic Church.
Participants were drawn from parishes of St Mary, Sts Joseph, Daniel Comboni, Holy Family, and Drama group of St Mark at PALICA Centre.
This is the fifth workshop organized by Justice and Peace Commission this year.
