Sudan People’s Liberation Movement or SPLM Acting Secretary-General said the President of the Republic who is the party chairman on Tuesday issued orders for the implementation the Arusha reunification agreement.
Dr Ann Itto Leonardo told journalists in Juba on Wednesday that the orders indicate commitment of SPLM in the government led by President Salva Kiir Mayardit on the reunification.
The Acting Secretary-General said the agreement is their priority based on President Kiir’s directives, disputing claims that the agreement was dead or thrown away.
Dr Itto said the President issued directives to SPLM to begin the implementation of reunification agreement.
The Acting Secretary-General disclosed that with the order, former detainees would be able to access money from their frozen bank accounts.
