One of the mechanics on Monday at around 2:30 PM caused a fatal accident at Suk Gumba Masia Road in Yambio.
A mechanic identified as Justin Luis Ngbaro knocked dead an eight-year-old school girl identified as Mercy Dennis on her way home, Radio Anisa reported.
Traffic Police Officer first lieutenant Gabriel Tang Kier said the deceased child was crossing the main road and the mechanic was on high speed.
The offender is detained in the Police Custody as the investigation is going for him to face justice.
An eye witness Matthew Sanite blamed the driver for over speeding.
The body of the deceased was taken to Yambio State Hospital for post mortem before handing the body to the family for burial.
The traffic police personnel could not immediately identify the school where the child was learning though the girl’s origin is Ezo County.
