Women Association in Yei River County on Saturday elected a new leader aimed at females’ empowerment and representation.
The newly elected chairlady Nadia Rosaline told Radio Easter that her priority would be creation of unity, girl-child education and women empowerment through agri-business.
She wants ladies to go to school to become women future leaders and she would go deep into the village to encourage women to get involved in agriculture to bring them income.
Women said it is high time to get organized and fight domestic violence, early marriages, school drop outs and creation of equal opportunities for development in communities.
