Civil Society Organizations in Yei River County of Central Equatoria are appealing for allocation of more funds for awareness to fight the illiteracy rate in the country.
Speaking to Radio Easter in an exclusive interview in the county, the Secretary-General Dara Felix complained that many schools at the grass roots are still lacking infrastructure and qualified teachers.
He warned that South Sudan’s future would become doom without massive investment on education.
The Secretary-General disclosed that members of the civil society are discussing the ‘2014 Child Education Bill’ before it is passed into law by the local council.
