Wau Catholic Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission and the Peace Committee are preparing to conduct ecumenical prayer for peace on Thursday.
The prayer that brings together six denominations is under the ‘theme: ‘No longer slaves, but brothers and sisters’.
Justice and Peace Coordinator Nathelina Andrea Mabo told Radio Voice of Hope on Tuesday the event is expected to witness distribution of Pope’s message of peace of this year to communities.
The six churches would gather for the peace prayer at St Mary’s Help of Christian Cathedral Square of Wau Catholic Church.
