Yei Deputy Mayor urged chiefs to stop selling land to residents until the legal authority demarcates and gives approves selling and concrete construction.
Silvano Ali Sanguson told the media after meeting residents of Zamba area on Saturday that the land belongs to the community but right demarcation is essential to pave way for development, Radio Easter reported.
He advised citizens to stop buying un-demarcated land to avoid possible loss.
Zamba community representative Yeka Levi Ezbon decried that the area at Yei Day and Zamba Church were disputed by the landlords, leaving them in dilemma.
He urged the municipal authority to speed up demarcation so that residents have easy access to basic needs.
