Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO strongly condemned the continued cycle of communal attacks and revenge in Lakes State.
In a statement CRN obtained on Wednesday CEPO described the attacks as worrying and disturbing, recognizing that numerous initiatives by several actors for resolving the fighting in the state were tried all in vain.
CEPO Executive Director Edmond Yakani called upon the representatives of Lakes state in the national parliament to take the situation of the fighting serious during their recess period.
He said CEPO is demanding the council of states to take serious steps to find solutions to the violence.
The Executive Director warned that it would be obligated to question them in competent court of law within South Sudan as to why the national parliamentarian from Lakes States and Council of States are unable to resolve.
