South Sudan Women lawyer on Tuesday encouraged women who faced gender-based violence or any form of violence to seek justice.
Lawyer Agum Ater in a workshop sponsored by Central Equatoria State UNMISS Human Rights on Tuesday on activism against gender-based violence, said they offer free legal services.
She advised survivors of gender-based violence not to give up even if they were threatened or intimidated by authorities.
The lawyer advised women not to pay money because rape is capital offense.
Advocate Ater encouraged victims to hold any police officer responsible for accepting bribes from the suspect because they are not supposed to take money to release him.
The lawyer advised them to follow the right system when following cases to succeed.
