Sacred Heart Parish Priest in Tonj South County of Warrap State in his homily on Sunday, urged elders of Greater Tonj communities to come to church and pray.
Fr John Peter said children and few mothers are the only people coming to the church, saying people need only services, but neglect God, Radio Don Bosco reported.
He advised that the church is to proclaim the word of Jesus Christ in addition to health and educational services.
Fr Peter invited people to put God first in their lives to have peace, love and unity in their families, communities and the country.
The Parish Priest advised Christians especially parents to clean their hearts ready to receive the Lord and not to overburden themselves with earthly materials for Christmas.
