Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO on Friday during Rumbek Central County peace and stability dialogue urged intellectuals to avoid inciting tribal fighting among communities.

CEPO State Coordinator Majier Isaac Majok blamed politicians and intellectuals of pushing innocent people to fight without knowing what they are fighting for, Radio Good News reported.

He urged educated people to advise their brothers and sisters involved in bad activities which destabilize Lakes State to talk to communities about peace.

Rumbek Central County Executive Director Mangui Malok also encouraged Lakes State citizens to preach peace to young people to stop killing one another.

The two leaders made the statements during one-day a peace and stability dialogue of 45 pastoralists of Jiir and Among-piny Payams in Rumbek Central County.
