Catholic Bishop applauds Maridi Commissioner for peace

Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop during his visit to Maridi on Friday appreciated the Commissioner for maintaining peace and stability in the County and his good cooperation towards supporting church projects.
 
Bishop Edwardo Hiiboro Kusala appealed to the Commissioner to provide security to the Salesian Missionaries undertaking education and health projects in Manguo Parish, Radio Anisa reported.
 
He disclosed that the church built nice hospital and primary school for the vulnerable communities, planning to open secondary and vocational training schools next year in Manguo area of Maridi County.
 
The Bishop stated that the church aims at getting professional teachers to provide quality education to the pupils.
 
Maridi Commissioner Wilson Thomas cited the need of a primary school in Arende village.
 
He expressed government’s commitment to provide security in the area, adding that he would continue working with the church to help communities especially the poor.
