Yei River County of Central Equatoria State postponed the World Aids Day celebration to February 2015.
Commissioner’s Office representative Babu Mohamed Diko on Tuesday encouraged the people to go for test to know their status and be example by telling others when positive for those hiding to come out, Radio Easter reported.
He added that people who have knowledge about the pandemic should enlighten the community about its dangers to human health.
Yei Boda-boda Association Deputy Director Hassan Apollo Jackson said it was the County government’s plan to have the Day celebrated in February next year.
He said they were on the roadside to raise awareness of citizens about the dangers of the disease.
World AIDS Day is celebrated all over the globe on December 1.
