Yei River County Deputy Education Director on Friday urged school children to avoid criminal activities and spend their holiday constructively by supporting parents following completion of exams.
Amos Alexander Zachariah, who is also Examinations Board chairperson, told Radio Easter that there are 36, 957 pupils and students in 120 schools in the county for 2014/2015.
He explained that primary one to seven pupils completed their exams on Thursday while Primary Leaving Certificate candidates wait to sit on December 8.
Mr Alexander commended parents for sending children to school, wishing everybody a happy Christmas.
He said secondary and primary schools are expected to reopen on the second week of February.
