National Labour and Public Service ministry Undersecretary on Saturday graduated 98 people after nine-month training on tailoring, building and carpentry in Yei Vocational Skills Training School.
Hellen Achiro Lotara commended the continuous support of the Norwegian People’s Aid or NPA to the people of South Sudan since the liberation struggle days, Radio Easter reported.
She called on citizens to embrace peace and reconciliation to beef up development at all levels.
The School Principal Otim Joseph said the 15th batch graduates included 44 females and 55 males: 41 in tailoring, 22 in carpentry and 35 in building.
Grandaunts representative Florence Dawa appreciated state, national governments and NPA for building their capacities, fostering unity among trainees and imparting into them self-reliance skills.
NPA Civil Society Development Program Manager Jamus Joseph assured citizens and government of the organization’s commitment to offer services through the support of the Norwegian government.
He urged the grandaunts to implement the knowledge they gained through the utilization of tool kits provided.
The 98 graduates were drawn from the ten states of South Sudan.
