Maridi County Chamber of Commerce Chairman said lack of financial institutions is hindering and weakening business performance in the area and the state in general.
Benneth Khamis told Radio Bakhita on phone interview that there are no financial institutions such as commercial banks; providing loans for traders to conduct business.
He requested for financial institutions to pour to Maridi to empower trade.
Sudan Microfinance Institution or SUMI and Nile Commercial Bank were the only financial institutions in Maridi some times back.
