Yei Catholic Diocesan Youth Chaplain on Saturday cautioned secondary school leavers against hurrying into early marriage agenda which may spoil chances of further academic progress into future careers.

Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit during a holy mass told the school leavers to pursue positive life visions as they progress in different educational levels, Radio Easter reported.

He decried increasing early girl-child marriage in Yei, saying it is better to marry after professional qualification.

School Patron Lagu Joseph encouraged Young Christian Students from different schools to maintain the spirit of sharing as progressive Christians.

The leaders made the statement during end of third term mass at Yei Girls Boarding Secondary School in Yei River County of Central Equatoria.
