Western Equatoria Governor urged cattle owners coming into the state to seek permission before bringing many cows to destabilise farmers during the rainy season.

Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro said Greater Mundri Counties were more affected by Lakes State’s cattle keepers entering to the state without following legal procedures, Anisa Radio reported.

He said they are discussing with Lake State Government to stop citizens from cattle keepers entering Western Equatoria without permission, adding that they planned to visit Lakes for more talks.

The Governor said Western Equatoria is much interested in maintaining peace and that there is no need for outsiders to continue in fluxing of cattle to destabilize the state.

He warned some people against labelling Western Equatoria of having connection with the opposition.

Mundri West Commissioner Lexson Mabruck this year reported to Anisa Radio several cattle influxes, displacement of many people and killing of others in his county.
