Flood Disaster and Conflict facilitator on Monday said they started training chiefs, women groups, youths and religion leaders on disasters and conflict prevention in Tonj Counties of Warrap State.
Simon Mel said they were building capacities of local authorities to support the community on artificial and man-made catastrophes, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He said the training was on different disasters including flood, cattle rustling and unnecessary killing affecting people in their areas.
Mr Mel urged communities of Greater Tonj to love one another and stay in peace to develop the country.
Disaster Programme Manager Almelso Kodi advised local authorities and chiefs to enlighten communities about flood and cattle rustling.
