Eastern Equatoria Parliament on Wednesday passed with amendments the Policy Statement of Public Service, Labour and Human Resources Development ministry.
The new Speaker Tobiolo Alberio Oromo presided over the deliberations, Radio Emmanuel reported.
A need to promote civil servants who over stayed in their positions is among the recommendations and amendments in the policy statement.
Public Service, Labour and Human Resources Development minister Brenda Stella Lorika said Council of Ministers gave a green light for the civil servants’ promotion.
The policy statement was passed after the Assembly deliberated on the report of the Public Service, Labour and Human Resources Development Committee.
