The Tuberculosis or TB Coordinator in Rumbek Hospital of Lakes State said the Institute recorded many cases.
Abraham Mayek Majak said they registered 185 patients between January and September 2014 with 42 people cured, Good News Radio reported.
He said five people died due to negligence of not reporting to the Hospital for earlier treatment.
Dr Mayek cited insecurity as a major challenge affecting the state to conduct TB outreach research and bringing patients to the Hospital for treatment.
The State TB Coordinator Mayek assured the public in Rumbek of proper treatment if one is diagnosed TB positive.
