The Government, United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS Child Protection Unit and United Nations Children Fund or UNICEF are today launching ‘Children not Soldier’ campaign at Dr John Garang mausoleum in Juba.
In a statement CRN obtained on Tuesday, the campaign is part of the Global lobby aims to end recruitment and use of children in the army by 2016.
The event marks the country’s renewed commitment to end the recruitment.
It is expected to bring together government officials from the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare.
