Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop upon his return from the peace talks in Ethiopia called upon everybody in the Diocese and South Sudan to continue praying for peace in the country.

Bishop Barani Edwardo Hiiboro Kusala hopes that by the help of God, the next round of talks would bring the good news of signing a peace deal in South Sudan, Anisa Radio reported.

He said after the adjournment of the peace talks, he travelled to Europe and met key government officials in Germany and Austria to lobby for more support to the peace process in South Sudan.

Bishop Hiiboro said Europeans expressed commitment to continue supporting and showing their sympathy, urging South Sudanese to forgive one another.

He called on South Sudanese to forgive each other and accept one another as brothers and sisters, pray for peace and encourage the conflicting parties to do the same.

Bishop Hiiboro disclosed that there was a breakthrough in the peace talks to give chance to the warring leaders to decide on how to handle the transitional period in preparation for the elections.
