Pupils of Schools around Rumbek Centre on Wednesday gathered at Deng Nhial Primary to mark the Global Hand Washing Day under theme: ‘Chose hand washing chose health.
Lakes State Deputy Governor Santo Domic Chol urged the pupils to take the message of hand washing to their parents because the hand is the body organ that connects everything to the mouth, Good News Radio reported.
The State Acting Physical Infrastructure Minister Joseph Makerdit said having pit latrine is the most important way of preventing flies from contaminating households.
He called on the government and NGOs to address the issue of latrine at all levels.
