Wau Catholic Diocese Vicar General urged Comboni Missionaries all over South Sudan and Sudan to emulate Comboni’s deeds.
Fr Germano Bernado in his homily during the celebration of St Daniel Comboni Day in Basselia Chapel on Friday, accredited Comboni for his good works of building churches, schools and hospitals, Voice of Hope reported.
He said Comboni had the love for Africans, calling on all Comboni fathers, sisters, brothers and the lay missionaries to keep the light of Comboni burning in the works he left.
The Vicar General called on congregation to be strong in their faith as Daniel Comboni.
Fr. Bernando appealed to the Comboni missionaries to revise their constitution and plan according to Comboni’s mission and vision as their founder.
He reminded that the first missionaries were assisting Christians in many ways.
