Western Bahr El Ghazal State Health Ministry conducted one day awareness training on Ebola disease for medical personnel as a surveillance taskforce to guard against the outbreak.
Acting Director-General Henry Gabriel Sasa said the training sensitizes stakeholders about the cause and mode of Ebola transmission, Voice of Hope reported.
He explained that after the training participants would be able to handle Ebola treatment and precaution measures against acquiring the virus.
Mr Gabriel revealed plans to establish screening centre at Wau Air Port for checking on of direct visitors flying from Kampala to Wau.
He added that the training brought together 60 participants from state health ministry, Non-governmental Organizations or NGOs and other UN agencies.
