Yei Mayoress on Monday during a Veterans Day celebration urged the diverse communities living in the Municipality and South Sudan at large to avoid the use of polluting words.

Oba Cecilia Tito said blames against tribes, exercise of tribalism and laziness to work for peace would keep the country far behind undeveloped, Easter Radio reported.

She argued that if the soldiers who fought the Anya Nya war and other liberation struggles were based on tribal or regional divisions, the nation would have not achieve independence.

The Mayoress called on citizens to sustain the hard won independence through resolving the ongoing conflict for the nation to progress.

She called on Yei and South Sudan diverse communities to unite, stay in peace and embrace hard work to realize tangible development.
