Bishops’ Conference desires efficient personnel to run church institutions

Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC Secretary-General on Monday said the Conference is eager to receive Association Members of Episcopal Conference of Eastern Africa or AMECEA and United States Catholic Conference of Bishops or USCCB capacity building training commencing on Tuesday August 19 in Juba to promote qualified personnel to run church institutions.
 
Fr Jacob Odwa added that participants from SCBC expect the capacity building training to be fixed yearly for efficient administration.
 
The Secretary-General explained that the Conference would expects evaluate the training topics.
 
Fr Odwa said about 45 participants from within the East African region are expected to arrive in Juba on Tuesday for the function.
 
The SCBC Secretary-General explained that the workshop is part of a regional meeting of catholic bishops’ conferences that should take place in January 2014, but adjourned due to mid December crisis.
 
Fr Odwa said the capacity building would be a mind opener for refocusing programs of church institutions in the region.
