A joint inter-state border committee consultative meeting between Warrap and Western Bahr El Ghazal started on Thursday in Wau to resolve disputes.
Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan urged the committee not to politicize border disputes resolution, calling on it to adopt 1956 districts map.
He acknowledged the peaceful nature of the state for being the home for all Greater Bahr El Ghazal citizens.
Warrap Local Government Minister Acuil Tito who heads his border committee said chiefs are significant in a peaceful border ruling, urging them to use their experiences without causing tensions between the two states.
Border disputes in the last two weeks became a matter of concern between the two states following Warrap claims over Nyinakok, Kapara, Aleltony and Terkweng areas.
